Lahaina Fire Recovery
West Maui Sports & Fishing Supply served West Maui for over 30 years selling fishing gear, marine supplies and diving gear. Sadly, on Aug 8, 2023 our store along with the majority of our town, was lost in the Lahaina fires. We are rebuilding with an online store while we search for a new brick and mortar. We look forward to seeing the faces of our Lahaina community as well as guests to Maui when the rebuild is complete. In the meantime, we sincerely appreciate your support of our small business, town and island following this life changing experience.
When you wear our clothing, you are supporting the rebuild of one of many Lahaina businesses trying to rise from the ashes. Our shirt with the Ulua back is a depiction of a 102 lb mount that was the first thing you saw when you walked in the store. The WM formed from double hooks represents West Maui. The measuring stick on the arm is the current Maui county fishing regulation guide, with pictures and names of each fish. The Ulua tail logo, has the scales artistically enhanced to depict the moon phases that Hawaiians use to fish by. Lastly, the image of the West Maui Mountains was the view from the store looking up at the mountains, with the famous Lahainaluna 'L'.
